Sic Bo at Gaming Club

Sic Bo is a game of pure chance, and involves betting on the outcome of three dice being rolled in a shaker. It uses a large table layout that can be likened to those used in roulette and craps, and you bet on various outcomes by placing chips on the corresponding position on the table.

As in roulette and craps, there are many different bets that a Sic Bo player can make, and the odds paid reflect the chances of those bets succeeding. Here are the most popular bets and the payouts that relate to each:

Small: Bet that the total of the three dice will be in the range of 4 to 10 inclusive. Three of a kind doesn’t count, and if one occurs your bet will lose. Winning Small bets pay 1 to 1.

Big: Bet that the total of the three dice will be in the range of 11 to 17, inclusive. Again, three of a kind doesn’t count, and will cause your bet to lose. Winning Big bets pay 1 to 1.

Two Dice: Bet that two dice will appear a certain way (1 and 2, or 4 and 3, for example) but not as doubles. A winning Two Dice bet pays 6 to 1.

Doubles: Bet that two dice will have the same specified number. If you are right you will be paid 11 to 1.

Numbers: Bet on a number from 1 to 6 and you will be paid according to how many dice (if any) bear that number after the roll. One die correct pays 1 to 1, two dice correct pays 2 to 1 and all three dice correct pays 12 to 1.

Triples: Bet that three dice will have the same number. If you are right you will be paid 31 to 1.

Specific Triple: Bet that three dice will have the same specified number and you will be paid 180 to 1 if you are right.

Specific Total: You can also place bets on the dice having a specific total. The odds paid on these bets depend on the number of ways in which a particular total can be made, and range from 6 to 1 to 62 to 1.
